For anyone visiting Lantern Club recently, you might have noticed a brand-new Tesla Model 3 lighting up our promotions area. Our long-standing Car and Cash promotion has had a refresh, now with a luxurious new drive waiting to be won. Members have even more reason to swipe, earn, spend, and redeem! Recent changes to Reward Points and ticket redemption over the past couple of months have had us answering more questions about how to be involved in this exciting promotion. We thought we would take the time to go through these promotional changes and provide insight on how you could be the next owner of a Tesla Model 3!

Car and Cash is a game of chance based on members redeeming tickets and participating in Minor Draws. Think of it like a game show! The more tickets you redeem, the higher your chances to be called out. What’s up for grabs? It’s all in the name – a Tesla Model 3 valued at $70,000, and varying cash prizes. We close out the month with a Major Draw where one lucky member takes home $5,000 cash!
This promotion is open to all members with two chances per week to win several cash prizes or the Tesla – you could soon be changing your drive!
So how could you drive away with a Tesla Model 3? Here is a step-by-step guide to help you understand the promotion.
1. SWIPE
Every day members are eligible for 1 Car and Cash ticket when swiping at the Reward Kiosk. This is a great way to get started and maximise the number of tickets you have to play! The other ‘Swipe’ component is to ensure you are swiping at the register with every purchase you make. This will allow you to earn Reward Points with every transaction on drinks or dining.
2. EARN
Earning Reward Points is done through swiping your membership card at every transaction. Every Reward Point has a cash value and accruing them allows you to make purchases throughout the club without having to use your own cash!
3. SPEND
Spending your Reward Points is the key to gaining your Car and Cash tickets. Once you have earned enough Reward Points, you can make a purchase with these. For every 100 Reward Points ($1) spent you will earn 1 Car and Cash ticket. For example, buying a $4 coffee with points will give you 4 tickets into Car and Cash. You can see your Car and Cash ticket balance at any time at the Reward Kiosk.
4. REDEEM
To enter the promotion, you can redeem your Car and Cash tickets at the Reward Kiosk before 7:15pm Wednesday and 5pm Sunday to be eligible for that night’s draw. Once you have redeemed your tickets, sit back and enjoy the show!
5. MINOR DRAWS
Every week there are two chances to take home our Major Prize – a Tesla Model 3. Minor Draws take place every Wednesday and Sunday – and you need to have redeemed your tickets before the cut-off times to be included. At each draw, we will announce five lucky members to choose one of eight prizes. Seven of these prizes are instant cash, ranging from $100 to $250. The remaining prize is a chance to win the Tesla Model 3. The winner will be asked to spin our grand wheel if the spin lands on the ‘CAR’ wedge, the winner takes home the Tesla! The two highest winners at each Minor Draw become the finalists for the end of month Major Draw.
6. SECOND CHANCE DRAW
On the last Sunday of every month, we call up five members to join our finalists in that night’s Major Draw for a chance to win $5,000 cash. You need to have redeemed tickets within the month to be eligible.
7. MAJOR DRAWS
All the finalists join together on the last Sunday of every month to take part in the $5,000 cash draw. All finalists select a key hoping it unlocks the safe. Whoever selects the correct key wins the cash! All Car and Cash tickets are then cleared for the month following this draw ending.
