The Easter Show is a Sydneysider staple every year and it just keeps getting bigger and better. With amazing rides to experience, animals to pet, food to eat and of course show bags to snap up, it’ll literally take you a day to see it all.
Opening day was Thursday April 6, so we decided to investigate the highlights, and found six new things to see at this year’s show. Trust us, you’ll definitely be wanting to grab your Easter Show tickets as soon as you can!

New thing #1 at this year’s Easter Show

Looney Tunes spectacular

Bugs Bunny is set to make his Sydney Royal Easter Show debut with the introduction of The Looney Tunes Circus Spectacular. This family-friendly show runs for 30 minutes and features circus performers and the best of the Looney Tunes characters such as Daffy Duck and Porky Pig. The show features aerial acts such as trapeze, silks, and a selection of circus acts. You’ll also laugh along at comedy routines and musical showcases as seen in the much-loved Looney Tunes cartoons.

New thing #2 at this year’s Easter Show

Little Hands on the Land

This is great for city kids wanting to get a hands-on look at the country life. The Daily Telegraph Paddock is now a kid-sized working farm, which will help teach young-uns about life on the land.
The best part is that Little Hands on the Land is 100% free and features nine sections including a chook shed, fruit orchard, sheep shed, veggie patch, cow shed, pony barrel race and an outback tractor pull.

New thing #3 at this year’s Easter Show

See the Trolls at the Show

Trolls

With the DreamWorks movie having hit the cinemas, the Trolls themselves – Poppy and Branch – will star in an amazing live-action show.

New thing #4 at this year’s Easter Show

Dirt bikes- Battle of the Golden Helmet

Battle of the Golden Helmet

The V8 Supercars may no longer race at Sydney Olympic Park, but a V8 roar will return as Country goes head to head against City in a high-speed race. Each team pilots two motor-cross bikes and a hotted-up ute in the Battle of the Golden Helmet. It’ll be full on sideways action as Australia’s most skilful drivers and riders race around the stadium.

New thing #5 at this year’s Easter Show

The Beast

Not for the faint hearted, new ride The Beast swings you 45 metres into the air on a giant pendulum.

Puppies feature at this year's Royal Easter Show

Baby Puppy Competition

Animals don’t get any cuter than this! The Dog Show is one of the favourite parts for many at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. The introduction of puppies just made it even more of a must-see. With the 3-6 month-old pups bouncing around the ring, there’s sure to be some laughs and a plethora of “awwwws” from the crowd. The puppies will be on show every afternoon from 3:30pm and the Best Baby Puppy of the day is awarded a trophy.
