Lantern Club is home to the Roselands Flames Bowling Club. The Club hosts mens, womens and mixed bowls games every week. Whether you would like to play competition bowls or social bowls, we are always looking to welcome new members. We have an excellent coaching team and dedicated committees.
Roselands Flames Bowling Club also provides barefoot bowling for corporate and social groups. We can provide bowls and coaches and our team will work with you to ensure we meet the needs of your group.

Roselands Flames Womens Bowling Club - Secretary Report
Our ladies have had another successful year with good club support from members and various team achievements in the wider bowling fraternity. Both our pennant teams, Grade 2 & Grade 4, won the Georges River District Pennant Championship. We received both flags on Monday 22nd July. These were raised at the club on Thursday 8th August with a celebratory morning tea and friendship bowls with representatives from the GRD clubs.
In the Georges River District events, Julie Fuller won the singles championship and went on to play in the Champion of Club Championship play offs. Teams from Roselands Flames were successful in the other GRD events, winning open and senior pairs as well as the Fours. They were also runner up in the open pairs as well as the triples events.
We continue to seek new players and have recently had two ladies begin their free lessons to join our club for the new financial year. Roselands Flames have supported our district by being the host club for events such as pennants, district triples and the mixed pairs regional play off.
Thank you to Lantern Club for supporting us and for our green keepers for achieving outstanding greens for play. We are planning to continue our annual club challenge game with Mingara on Saturday 5th October and look forward to Mingara joining us at Roselands for this event. Our ladies continue to support the men’s bowling club and enjoy joining them to play together on a Tuesday as well as attend other events. A social day with a fashion parade with clothing from Black Pepper was held just before Mother’s Day earlier this year. Another event is currently being planned for summer fashions in October.
Happy bowling and good fellowship,
Cheryle Trikeriotis - Hon Secretary RFWBC
