Three women and nine men from other states also form part of the team representing Australia. Lantern Club is proud to announce that Lynn Smith, a member of our Roselands Flames Bowling Club has been selected to represent Australia in the International Bowls for the Disabled (IBD) World Championships as a NSW representative together with Carolyn Nelson from Engadine Bowling Club. Three women and nine men from other states also form part of the team representing Australia.

Lynn is an incomplete paraplegic who has overcome her disability to play in this elite competition. Lynn represented NSW as an able bodied player from 1994 to 2004 and has won gold in the Australian Open Disabled Singles in 2012. Lynn has won many other titles whilst representing Wheelchair Sports NSW as well as her own club, the Roselands Flames.
The 2015 IBD World Championships will take place in New Zealand from mid-February to early March 2015. We wish them all the very best.
