Food is almost always defined by the seasons, from the temperature in the air to the produce that’s available. The days are getting longer and hotter and winter fare such as parsnips, oranges and cabbage is making way for fresh berries, seafood and tomatoes. With the Australian summer is starting to take hold in such wonderful ways, it’s only natural the food we eat reflects our lifestyle at this time of year. That’s why our talented and inspired chefs have created a summer menu for MáZi Restaurant that you simply won’t want to miss.

Perfectly combining fresh Australian produce and the summer lifestyle along with MáZi’s signature Mediterranean vibe, this is a range of dishes that is sure to delight the pallets of our loyal members and their guests. From traditional favourites that our diners love and expect, to new creations that will encourage repeat visits, we believe our new summer menu has reached an even higher level of class and sophistication.
No Mediterranean meal would be complete without a range of delicious breads to get things started. Warm dinner rolls, flat breads and a bruschetta bursting with flavours will fire up the tastebuds for the courses to come.
Next up our chefs offer superb Sydney Rock Oysters; either natural with red wine and shallot vinaigrette with a slice of lemon or baked with crispy bacon and house specialty Kilpatrick sauce. Freshly shucked oysters are as summer as it gets and each oyster will remind you of our glorious Australian beaches.
Our entrées are a mix of old and new. Caesar and traditional Greek salads filled with the freshest ingredients are still available for the traditionalists, while choices such as garlic and chilli prawns with oil and artisan bread toast; salt and pepper baby squid with corn, avocado salsa and peri-peri sauce; and seared scallops with green pea, risotto cakes, green apples and romesco sauce have been added to the menu for those who want to get into the spirit of summer.

The main course, however, is where things get truly interesting. The twice-cooked pork belly with braised green puy lentils, vegetable ragout and caramelised pineapple glaze is MáZi’s Signature Dish, so you know it’s going to be a first-class meal. Alternatively, try our Chef’s Choice, the Fruits of the Sea in the Basket featuring battered scallops, salt and pepper fish, fried squid, tempura prawns, lime aioli and potato fries. Or try something of your own preference in keeping with the season such as garlic prawn linguine, pan seared salmon fillet, slow cooked corn fed chicken breast with prawns or the three mushroom ravioli.

Of course if steaks are more your thing you can choose from the best cuts of beef fillet steak, scotch fillet and Angus beef rump cooked just the way you like it. Served with onion rings, confit truss cherry tomatoes, potato fries and your choice of pepper sauce, mushroom sauce or red wine jus, you’ll be hard pressed to fit another thing in.
As with all good Mediterranean restaurants, there are a selection of wood fired pizzas to choose from and the children are well taken care of with Angus steak, chicken burgers, fish ’n’ chips and roast of the day on the menu.
Whatever you choose will satisfy your desire for an exceptional dining experience.

With the desserts on offer, we’re sure you’ll find extra room somewhere for a sweet treat. Churros and Tiramisu continue the European theme, while the warm sticky date pudding, vanilla crème brûlée with macaroon and fresh raspberries or the MáZi sundae with fruit coulis will finish off your meal perfectly.
Chances are you may have to sit for a while as you savour the moment and we have a selection of exceptional beverages to complete the meal to perfection.
